EMDR and Brainspotting Individual Intensives
Focused, Accelerated Trauma Therapy in Las Vegas
Traditional weekly therapy isn't always the right fit for every schedule, every client, or every stage of healing. EMDR and Brainspotting individual Intensives at Vegas Valley Comprehensive Counseling (VVCC) offer an alternative: extended, uninterrupted sessions designed to move through trauma processing more efficiently than once-a-week appointment allows.
Whether you're working through a single traumatic event, preparing for a major life transition, experiencing symptoms of complex PTSD, or simply want meaningful progress without a months-long weekly commitment, an EMDR or Brainspotting Individual Intensive can compress what might take months of standard sessions into a much shorter time frame. Intensives can be a helpful addition to talk therapy as well. We offer this format through two evidence-supported approaches — EMDR and Brainspotting — so you can choose the method that fits you best, or let a consultation help guide that decision.
Intensives are a great fit for:
-
Individuals processing a specific traumatic event or memory
-
Clients with high-functioning anxiety who want efficient results
- Individuals experiencing complex PTSD
-
Busy individuals with limited availability for weekly sessions
-
Out-of-state or out-of-town clients seeking concentrated treatment while in Las Vegas
-
Clients who have plateaued in traditional therapy and want a different format
-
Treatment resistance: clients who have tried therapy but feel like they're not getting anywhere
-
Clients who are making progress in talk therapy and want to do deep processing in addition to their current treatment plan

EMDR Intensives
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer carry the same emotional charge. An EMDR Intensive applies this same approach in an extended-format session. They typically take place over a half or full day or sometimes multiple days rather than the standard 50-minute weekly session.
Trauma work often needs momentum, and traditional weekly sessions can limit how far the nervous system is able to move in a single sitting. With more time, many clients find they're able to reach a depth of processing that weekly sessions don't allow and sometimes see meaningful shifts in weeks rather than months. This format also works well for clients traveling to Las Vegas specifically for treatment, or local clients who'd rather commit to a concentrated block of time than an ongoing weekly schedule. Throughout the day, sessions are paced with built-in breaks and grounding support. The pace of the work is always guided by what feels manageable, not rushed.
EMDR Intensives are facilitated by EMDR clinician and consultant Emi Olmeztoprak, LMFT, LCADC.

Brainspotting Intensives
Brainspotting, developed by David Grand, PhD, is a brain-body therapy that works with the connection between eye position and where trauma, emotional pain, and performance blocks are often stored. Rather than talking through every detail the way traditional therapy does, Brainspotting locates a "brainspot" tied to a specific memory or feeling and lets the brain do much of the processing on its own. Learn more about Brainspotting here.
Because the approach works directly with the body, it can access and release trauma that talk therapy alone sometimes can't reach, often leading to breakthroughs that feel faster and more physically resolved than conventional weekly sessions. Each intensive is shaped around your specific goals, giving more room to fully explore an issue than a single weekly hour allows. The day includes built-in breaks and grounding support, so depth of processing doesn't come at the expense of feeling safe and supported throughout.
Brainspotting Intensives are led by a Brainspotting certified clinicians Emi Olmeztoprak, LMFT, LCADC or Andrea Harmon, LCPC.
