EMDR Intensives
Focused, Accelerated Trauma Therapy in Las Vegas
Traditional weekly therapy isn't always the right fit for every schedule, every story, or every stage of healing. EMDR Intensives at Vegas Valley Comprehensive Counseling (VVCC) offer an alternative: extended, uninterrupted sessions designed to move through trauma processing more efficiently than once-a-week appointments allow.
Whether you're working through a single traumatic event, preparing for a major life transition, experiencing symptoms of complex PTSD, or simply want meaningful progress without a months-long weekly commitment, an EMDR Intensive can compress what might take months of standard sessions into a much shorter time frame.

What Is an EMDR Intensive?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer carry the same emotional charge. An EMDR Intensive applies this same approach in an extended-format session — typically a half day or full day — rather than the standard 50-minute weekly hour.
This extended format allows:
-
Deeper processing without interruption. Trauma work often needs momentum. Stopping every 50 minutes can limit how far the nervous system can move in a single sitting.
-
Faster progress. Many clients report in weeks what might otherwise take months of once-weekly sessions.
-
Flexibility for out-of-town or busy clients. Intensives are ideal for those traveling to Las Vegas specifically for treatment, or local clients who prefer concentrated care over an extended weekly commitment.
-
A structured, contained and personalized experience. Sessions are paced with built-in breaks and grounding support throughout the day.
EMDR Intensives at VVCC are ideal for:
-
Individuals processing a specific traumatic event or memory
-
Individuals experiencing complex PTSD
-
Clients with high-functioning anxiety who want efficient results
-
Busy professionals with limited availability for weekly sessions
-
Out-of-state or out-of-town clients seeking concentrated treatment while in Las Vegas
-
Clients who have plateaued in traditional weekly therapy and want a different format
-
Treatment Resistance: clients who have tried therapy but feel like you’re not getting anywhere.
